In 2016, George Stromeyer took the helm of Barco’s Enterprise division. He worked hard to strengthen the team, draft a new strategy and introduce new processes. Did he reap the fruit of those efforts in 2017?

“The Enterprise division is all about ‘delivering experiences’: we want to help organizations fully exploit the opportunities of today’s digital world by providing experiences that enable, engage and inspire,” George explains. “More than that, we want to deliver exceptional experiences at every customer touchpoint: from acquisition to new services. Meeting that need requires a combination of hardware, software and services – which is what we’re increasingly offering.”

A year of innovation

2017 has been a year of innovation for the Enterprise division, in products as well as in business and collaboration models. The UniSee™ LCD video wall is the absolute showpiece, as it is revolutionary on many different fronts. After welcoming a new family member, our ClickShare range of collaboration solutions is more popular than ever in companies around the world. In addition, 2017 saw the launch of Barco’s very first software-as-a-service offering: the weConnect learning solution is now available as a subscription-based service through the new Digital Enablement Platform.

Solid foundations

With solid foundations now in place, George is confident about the future: “We’ve got a firm strategy, a strong leadership team and motivated people. By sustaining our innovation efforts, strengthening our go-to-market capabilities and focusing on agile development and value engineering we are sure to boost our business in 2018 and beyond.”
